As part of the said 200th birthday celebration, a series of events will be featured with many exciting and meaningful programs and souvenirs to share with everyone. A 7-day novena (January 22-20, 2015) was likewise encouraged and held at every nooks and corners of the Bosconian community, with the following themes as guide:
First Day – Love for Christ in the Blessed Sacrament
Second Day – Devotion to Our Lady
Third Day – Loyalty to the Church and to the Pope
Fourth Day – For Young People
Fifth Day – For Salesian Priests, Brothers and Sisters
Sixth Day – For Salesian Cooperators
Seventh Day – For Missionaries
With the foregoing intentions, we hope we will be able to follow the footsteps of St. John Bosco in achieving our true mission on earth. Don Bosco once said: “What do the pleasures of this world amount to? What is not eternal is worth nothing.” What do you think?
